Promoted to the role of ICT Category Specialist as part of a review to implement a new Strategic Centralised Procurement Team at East Sussex County Council. Main duties include
• To design, develop and implement category strategies in conjunction with customers and service leads that ensure corporate objectives and that best value and compliance with legislation and corporate standing orders is achieved.
• Undertake research into local and national best practice to ensure a high level of knowledge of latest trends is maintained and applied.
• Identify and analyse opportunities in the ICT market.
• Build relationships with County districts, boroughs and other public bodies in order to identify opportunities for collaboration and joint working.

Senior ICT Contracts & Procurement Officer

Joined the ICT department as a Procurement & Contracts Officer and gained promotion to Senior Procurement & Contracts Officer after 1 year.
• Explore sourcing options to ensure the appropriate selection and management of suppliers in order to achieve best value for the Council.
